Special Pen Collectors of America Pens For Kids Seminar Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm

Come(any age) to learn about fountain pens, especially family members that want to become more familiar with a spouses hobby

 Pens for Kids is a program of the Pen Collectors of America to promote handwriting, personal expression through writing, and love of writing instruments in young people. The Pens for Kidsprogram is helping foster a love of pens in the next generation. The workshops were designed to foster an interest in pens and pen collecting in the nextgeneration. The Pens for Kids workshops also stressed the importance of handwritingand personal expression in communication.The workshops were open to “kids of all ages.”  The hour-long workshop will feature a slide presentation with a brief history of pens, slides of various styles of pens, and images of nibs and filling mechanisms. Each attendee received a student fountain pen.   Participants used their new pens in a handwriting exercise, and were given a Pens for Kids note card so they could pen a personal note to a friend or family member.
