* Information about Stipula's Netto fountain Pen bottle ink filling system that will be at the ink testing tables

* Monteverde will introduce their new fountain pen Inks at the show.

*Robert Lott (fivestarpens.com) will provide fountain pen friendly tablets for the Ink Testing Station and the first 250 people that stop by his table and ask for a note tablet.

*Ralph Stillwell from Michigan has confirmed that he will be at the DC show and will present the PCA Pens for Kids workshop. It was a spectacular success last year. You do not need to be a "Kid" to attend. It is free.

*Taccia, now being distributed by ITOYA, has announced that they are giving a free colored leather pen case with any Taccia fountain pen or rollerball purchased at the show. I think these leather pen holders are spectacular.

*New Calligraphy Chisel Point Workshop, never before offered in at the show. A Better Handwriting for Fountain Pen Users Workshop by Tamera Stoneburger is open to the public of all calligraphic handwriting levels, with all supplies provided, including notebooks containing reference materials and lettering templates. This is a good class to learn basics of better hand posture, structured letterforms, and ink control in using your chisel-edge fountain pen nibs to create a legible, simple, elegant everyday Italic handwriting.

* There are 17 calligraphers signed up for Maria Weyraugh's calligraphy Workshop. Almost full so you should sign up soon.

*Richard Binder's Nib Smoothing Workshop is full. There will be up to 50 chairs in the back part of the room for auditors. Richard encourages auditors and will provide copies of his notes. This is a "must" class for anyone who collects or uses fountain pens.

*Sunday, 11:00 Ron Zorn Workshop on General Pen Repair. Basic sac replacement, what to look out for, and vacumatic filled Parkers. $10

*Mr Yukio Nagahara will be adjusting and tuning Sailor nibs on Saturday and Sunday at the show. You must signup for an appointment at the Sailor Table starting when the show opens Saturday morning There will be a map at the entrance to the show but he will be located on the left side of the main ballroom.

*Registration for Richard Binder' "Nib Smoothing Workshop" begins this Monday at 9am(072011}.(See tab on left)
*Registration for Maria Weyraugh's calligraphy Workshop on "Basic Pointed-Pen Writing" has begun. (see tab on Left)

*Sheaffer Pens and Kenro Industries will sponsor the Calligraphy Workshop and provide each participant with a bottle of Sheaffer Scrip and a Sheaffer calligraphy kit.

*Robert Lott (Fivestarpens.com) will be giving free 3 color note pads to the first 300 collectors that stop by his table

Pen Collectors of America (PCA) Pens for Kids Workshop...Free Saturday/Sunday At 2:00 Ralph Stillwell is coming from Michigan to be the instructor.
